SLAM Researcher & Robotics Engineer
Hello.
I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from POSTECH and continued to an M.S. in Convergence IT Engineering at the Computational Control Engineering Lab, where I specialized in LiDAR-inertial SLAM - focusing on point cloud registration, graph optimization, and degeneracy-aware localization.
From 2022 to 2025, I served three years of mandatory military duty through Korea's Professional Research Personnel program, working as a researcher at ThorDrive (AD/AVs), Floatic (AMRs), and Nearthlab (UAVs). During this period I designed and developed real-time mapping and localization systems, deepened my understanding of robotics system design, middleware, and system architectures, and contributed to project/product launches at each company.
After completing the service, I joined Riibotics as a SLAM Engineer, where I'm contributing to an autonomous forklift solution for brownfield warehouses.
